Hickory Forming (Torpedo) and Plastic Shrinking Mallets

This fine grained hickory mallet is specially contoured to Kent's specifications for handforming soft sheet on shot or sand bags. It has wonderful balance and quickly raise with a minimum of effort.

Our new shrinking mallet is specially designed to trap ruffles and efficiently pull shrinks on edges.

Torpedo Mallet :   At last we have found a way to make hardwood hickory double-end shaping mallets that have both a deep reach and a different radius on each end of the head. They have a 20oz. striking weight, the heads are 10 inches long (5in. reach) with a 1 in. radius end and a 1 1/2 in. radius end.

Plastic Shrinking Mallet : Ultra weight white plastic. 1.5 lb. striking weight. 2.5" x 3" x 6" head. Heavy,  positive blow for thicker sheet (.050 - .070). Long wearing. Can be shaped with a sander to create any special contours you wish.

Deep Reach Hickory Mallet:   This combo mallet has both ends radiused, one for gentle crowns at 4" radius, and the other end at 1.75" radius. Order# HTS-0082.

Standard Hemispheric Hickory Mallets

These fine-grained hickory mallets are specially contoured to Kent's specifications for handforming soft sheet on shot or sand bags. They all have wonderful balance and quickly raise with a minimum of effort. The flat face can be used for planishing and for shrinking the ruffles down flat.

Medium Hickory Mallet:   2 1/2" x 5 1/2" head. One face flat, one hemispheric, at a 1 1/4 in. radius. Order# HTS-0077.

Mega Hickory Mallet:   3" x 6" head. One face flat, one hemispheric, at a 1 3/4 in. radius. Order# HTS-0078.
