Testimonial for Aluminum Gas Welding System
Statement of Support
Lloyd Toll (87 years old)
August 4, 1997
``I was an apprentice welder at Command-Aire in 1928 and was at Travel-Aire, Beech Craft, Douglas, and
Northrop for a total of 30 years. Taught welding at Santa Monica Technical School, California and at
Pines Vocational School in Arkansas. Had my own shop for 20 years.
``I introduced the lost art of Oxy-hydrogen welding at the EAA Workshops 24 years ago (1971), using the same
materials and techniques as was done in all the Aircraft factories during WW2.
``I believe the equipment and techniques used by TM Technologies to be far superior to what was done in the
past.
``I was on the staff here at EAA for several years and did about 90% of the welding and metal fitting on the
Spirit of St. Louis, the Consolidated PT1, the Fokker Triplane, and a number of various fuselages, motor
mounts, and aluminum gas tanks.
``TM Technologies has my permission to use my name in any advertising you may want to do."
